My Muse!
I finally got up enough courage to make something for someone else. My mother has always supported my sewing and so I thought what better person to sew for than her. I figure she will wear it even if she doesn't like it!
So I went through some of my patterns and fabric, found the Butterick 6024 and thought that would be the perfect top for her. I took her measurements and did a muslin. I had to do a full bust adjustment even though the top is loose fitting. I used a light yellow linen to make the top. My favourite feature is the pleats. She opted for the high-low style of top. Because my mother is also very petite, I had to shorten the top by 3". The pattern itself was very easy to work with. I completed the top in about 4 hours. Doesn't she look great!
