Silver Blouse and Pattern Review

I had the chance to try out my new StyleArc pattern.  I have never sewn up a StyleArc pattern before and couldn't wait to test it out.  So off I went to look through my fabric collection and discovered a Silver pleated stretch fabric my mother in law bought for me awhile back.  I have to admit I was not completely sold on the fabric, feeling that it was too "old ladyish"  I didn't think that it would be flattering on me.  So what better fabric to test the pattern out on than something that I wasn't a 100% sold on in the first place.  I figured that if the top didn't turn out, I would be too sad.

 My Pattern Review

Pattern Description: Nancy Shirt

Pattern Sizing: I ordered a size 8

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it: It looked exactly like the picture

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were easy to follow, they were very minimal as well.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?  I love this pattern because it was very easy to put together.  There are no buttons which makes it so much easier to complete.  One thing that I really liked was the fact that it came in the size you ordered, it was not multi-sized.

Fabric Used: I am not exactly sure what the fabric is.  It has a bit of stretch to it, and the neat feature of pleats throughout the fabric.  I think it might have some polyester in it.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did not use the front pockets.  If I was to sew it again, I would probably try to sew at least one of the pockets.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? ABSOLUTELY! This pattern was quick and easy. Great for beginner and looks cute on.

Conclusion:  This was my first experience with StyleArc.  It was such a positive experience, I will definitely look for another pattern.
