My adventure into the Swimsuit world!

So I am taking that major plunge, at least for me, into creating a swimsuit for myself.
I have to admit that there are parts that need to be covered up.  So I searched and searched for what other sewers are making as swimwear.  Some I thought, "Absolutely, NOT" others I felt...maybe, and then I found a pattern that I thought would be just right.  I have my usual list of blogs that I always go to and Oona balloon had the perfect review of this gorgeous swimsuit.  I typically have been sewing from your big 3 pattern companies.  Well today marks a new day in my sewing world.  I am going to be trying an "Indie" pattern from Closet Case Patterns.  This pattern came from the Perfect Pattern Parcel, a place where they put together a parcel of downloadable patterns from various Indie pattern companies.  A portion of the sales from these parcels go to a very worthy cause, DonorsChoose.org for school supplies.

I have chosen a simply red floral spandex/Lycra material for my first attempt at a bathing suit.

Wish me Luck
