I couldn't resist making these pants.
I found this fantastic light weight, denim, linen, cotton, spandex blend at my local fabric store. The fabric is so soft and was easy to work with. I used the pants part of the McCall's 6760. I created my own waist facing, took in the hips about 1/2", shortened the crotch depth by 1" and the overall length of the pants by 4".
I am already planning to make this pattern again, I may make the pants a bit narrower.
crazy amounts of amazing. what a FANTASTIC drape!!

DeleteHow much fabric!!!....They are seriously cool.. Well done you-I have just tried and failed at my first attempt of trousers- a pair of cropped peddley pusher things! will try again :)
ReplyDeleteAmanda, don't give up. I think if you can find a really simple pattern that you can easily make the necessary adjustments, you will be golden. Good Luck.
DeleteThese are really smart looking, like wearing a skirt but not and having a good fit thru the hips! Great job, kiddo!
