DIY McCalls#6988

If you remember, I recently purchased several yards of fabric.  I have started working away at this latest fabric haul.
This dress is made from #McCalls6988 and the fabric from www.fabric.com.  You can get a similar fabric here.

Here is my review
Pattern Description: Semi fitted dress with princess seams and back zipper

Pattern Sizing: I cut a size 8 and graded to size 6 at the hips

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? YES, it absolutely looked like the same dress

Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn't really follow the instructions, it was an easy pattern to put together

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really loved this pattern. It was so easy to put together and that the peplum bottom.

Fabric Used: I used a seafoam colour knit pique

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't do much altering. I grade down a size
around the hip area. I shortened the dress by 2" prior to adding the peplum bottom.  I didn't add a zipper to this dress, the material was stretchy enough that I was able to make the dress as a pullover.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?YES!! I plan to make this dress again. I love how it fits and the easy.

Conclusion: This pattern is an easy wardrobe builder. It is a great pattern to use if you need a quick dress and a satisfying sew.
