#Oonapalooza contest WINNER!

Back in July the lovely ladies of #Sewcialists ran a contest in celebration of #Oonaballoona, an amazing seamstress and blogger.
Her style and grace sparked my interest in big, bold, colourful prints.  The contest was fairly simply, make something that was inspired by Oonaballoona.  Well....I WON!!!  I entered this #Simplicity3803, (an OOP pattern) dress.  Here is my full review.

I absolutely love this dress, so much so, that I made several other versions.  Ofcourse, how could I not mention the other contest winners, Penny Librarian, Sew Stylist, Cari Homemaker, The Quirky Peach and Cut Cut Sew.  All of these ladies created such amazing pieces from shorts to dresses to sexy swimwear.

I am so thrilled with the prizes donated from By Hand London, Mood Fabric and Closet Case Files and I'm SO looking forward to sewing up my Anna Dress

THANKS OONABALLOONA, BY HAND LONDON and SEWCIALIST,

  2. Congratulations on your win Sharon! As soon as I saw your dress, I fell in love with it. I was just at Fabricland today, and saw what looks to be the same fabric as your dress. I might sew up my first maxi with the navy blue colourway. Thanks for the inspiration!
