I decided that I will start to sew using some spring colours in the hopes that this will bring Spring here faster. I have put together the bodice of Butterick 5556 and the skirt of Vogue 8328. I created a similar Mini Dress, here. Changing the collar style.
I used a medium weight cotton material. I didn't need to make any further alterations to the pattern. I shortened the skirt about 6" and created a 2" hem. I pleated the skirt slightly different this time. I am thinking about creating a fabric covered belt for this dress. I know that I might have to wait a bit to wear the dress but I wanted to post the finished project. I will do a post on HOW I WORE IT, once the weather gets better.
