New Projects
Easter is a great time to get together with family and friends. I hosted my family for Easter dinner this year. It's amazing how much work goes into feeding 10 people. What is strange for me is that I am more stressed about setting the menu then actually preparing the meal. Once the menu is set, I can easily execute. I LOVE to cook and I LOVE to entertain. Needless to say, this weekend went beautifully. With all the hustle and bustle of the long weekend, I still managed to make a few pieces.
Item #1- Casual Zip UP
I love this casual Zip up jacket. I used McCall's 6614. This pattern is very easy to make and it provides you with a variety of options that are great! I wanted a light jacket that I could throw on when I was running out the door. The pattern also gives you options for sweatshirt styles with and without a hood.Item #2- Cotton Printed Dress
This dress I made before combining two patterns and making some minor adjustments to the pattern. This dress is fun and playful. I am really enjoying the printed on the dress. I discovered that it is important to lay out your pattern pieces the right way when you working with printed patterns, especially when there are words on it.Tuesday, 25 March 2014

Spring Has Sprung!
I decided that I will start to sew using some spring colours in the hopes that this will bring Spring here faster. I have put together the bodice of Butterick 5556 and the skirt of Vogue 8328. I created a similar Mini Dress, here. Changing the collar style.
