So every now and again, I get start a project that I try a new, for me,technique. This time it's shirring. I have never used elastic thread and so it was so much fun to try.
I decided to try this "shirring" thing on this dress and see how it goes. Here's where I'm at so far.. I am using a light pinstripe denim material.
Not bad...now I have to figure out what I am going to do with the top of this dress. I think I want a long sleeve, cross over top
The shirring looks really nice. Did you have to adjust the tension on your machine?
