There is nothing like the good old Polka Dot print.  I was so excited when I found this brown and pink fabric in my local fabric store; it has a great weight.

Spring has Sprung- An Update!

So I couldn't wait any longer!  I had to wear my Black and Yellow Spring Mini Dress.

Pretty Little Dress

Well, it is officially Spring, although if you look outside my windows you would think otherwise.  This has not stopped me from sewing my spring wardrobe.

They Call Me Mellow Yellow

I am in the full swing of my Spring sewing.  The weather appears to be warming up, the clocks have been set forward.  I am ready!

Brocade?, Okay!

We just got hit with another snow storm and so I want not make something with cool colours. I had this very bright Blue and pink Chinese Brocade sitting in my fabric collection.  It wasn't enough to do a full dress but enough to make this very cute McCall's 6896 top.

Simply Black and White

Happy Monday!  I had wonderful weekend. I hope you all had a great weekend too!  Today, I bring you a classic black and white look. There is something to be said about a simply colour palette. I have the most wonderful mother in law who is also an avid sewer.  She has her own line of a custom rugs and wall hangings that are absolutely stunning,

Spring Sporty Wear

I have a very quick post.  I saw a  cute sporty top on a co-worker and thought I wanted something very similar. My co-worker kindly allowed me to examine her top.  Since I am not allowed to purchase any RTW items, I figured I would try and make it.

Yellow Peplum

I have been on a yellow kick!  I found this really great yellow Ponte Roma knit fabric at my local fabric store for a great price.

LABELS!

I am 3 months into my #Ready To Wear Fast 2014 and I have made quite a few pieces at this point.  I have gotten to the point where people now assume that what I am wearing, is something I made.

All Greyed Out

I had a fair bit of this stretch double knit fabric kicking around and a small piece of the flower knit fabric and decided to work with McCall's 6844, cardigan.  It sewed up nicely.

Flared Skirt, is it Spring Yet?

I have not given up hope that Spring is just around the corner. I have begun my Spring Fabric collection and can't wait to put myself in the throes of sewing for Spring.
